TGIF

Luke's Aunt Aimee visited today to check his progress since her visit just after he came home. And to provide Paige with some adult conversation. A treat for all!

This picture is a shout out to Aunt Sharren, who could not come and
play because she had to work.

Yay! It's the weekend! Paul & Luke broke it in by checking out Pardon the Interruption. They looove Oddsmakers (squadoosh!).
Check out the awesome sock monkey blanket Katie made for Luke!

One Month Check-up

Someone is 10 lbs 6.5 oz according to yesterday's check-up. As Aunt Lisa pointed out, lifting him will be a workout in and of itself!

Luke's showing off his extra poundage...and one of his favorite outfits from his friend, Ben, and his swanky cowboy boot socks from Paul's coworker, Jodi.

Luke has yet to make it through a pediatrician's appointment without giving the whole affair the gasface (as above). This is largely because his parents have yet to time his feedings properly in relation to the appointment time. This week, however, we packed a lunch for him, thus ending the freakout.

Yoi!

Luke is tipping out some milk today in honor of Myron Cope, beloved Steeler's announcer (in the home of one of his namesakes.) However he would like to also give a shout-out to his favorite sports announcer, Harry the K. He said, "Let's celebrate one of Philly's own while he is still at the top of his game."

Holy Button!

Luke totally has a belly button now. If he slept on a pillow, I would leave it underneath for the dried cord fairy to leave him money for the college fund.

3+ Weeks

Luke is now approaching the 4 week mark. It seems both much longer than that, and like he was born yesterday (though, boy am I glad that he wasn't!). He is thriving and growing (and EATING) like a champ, and Paul & I are doing well, too. His first week's drama aside -- oh, and dealing with his being tongue-tied -- we don't have anything terribly original to report. We've been housebound, sleep deprived (though other parents tell us we're lucky that we get 3-4 hour stretches during the night), and completely smitten. All of his grandparents were finally spared delays due to snow, sleet, cold, flu, and travel obligations and have come to visit and have declared him a keeper. We can't help but agree.

Thanks to everyone who has sent well-wishes and baby treats our way. Luke's looking forward to meeting you all!

And now I will cut to the chase. Without further ado, MORE PICTURES.

As Paul's Grandpa (Michael) Casey might have called this: The Next-to-the-Last and the Last of the Mohicans. This might be my favorite picture to date.

Luke Michael Vincent and his Grandpap, Donald Vincent. They're both on their way to sleepytown.
A special thanks to Emmett Reynolds in Seattle for handing down the cute outfit!

Luke, posing on Monday night. Or at least caught in a rare late evening moment of non-crying.

My First Stroller Ride

Not only am I stylish, but I will now proceed to sleep for hours.
