Pictures of their "real" costumes are to come soon, but Luke and Harper love dressing up so much, they became vampires just for fun! Well, just in honor of a spooooooooky dinner date with Jacob and Ronan!

Catching Up!
We have been going and doing so much that we're falling behind with our posts!
So...to catch up.
We visited Grammy and Grandpap in Pittsburgh for Labor Day.
This is how Luke and Harper "get ready" to leave.
While we were there, we played mini golf with Uncle Joe!
One lefty giving another pointers here.
Ah, remember Daddy's vacation beard? Good times.
They LOVED it!
Harper claimed this land for America!
Lion came with us, of course.
Grammy read stories.
And we even squeezed in a quick visit with the Kurtz family - checking out Sewickley's best ice cream.
And we did a lot of driving around - here is Harper passing the time. "I'm sendin' Aunt Slater a text to thank her for buying me Lion and Giraffe."
Before that, though, we made a trip to the Bronx Zoo and Luke and Harper checked out the prairie dogs.
And they had a blast on the treehouse slide in the Children's Zoo.
Mama bought some novelty costume glasses on a whim. BIG HIT!
"I'm Lennon, Mama, and you're Maisy."
"I'm singin' on the stage."
"Take a picture of me in the gazebo."
Even superheroes need a hot cocoa break.
Another day, another superhero.
We visited Muscoot Farm and discovered the tree with the secret hiding place.
Racing Daddy on the farm!
Luke's First Week of Kindergarten self-portrait.
Grandma and Grandpa Casey: note the rendering of the U of S shirt!
His "All About Me" sheet from his classroom. Which PC is which?
One last warm-weather trip to the Blue Pig!
Luke is playing soccer - go Team France!
Harper is spectating soccer.
And now, some candids...
at the farmer's market...
sidewalk chalkin' in Katonah
"Beware of Vampire" - by Luke
Stars! They're just like us!
His favorite errand, the carwash with Mama.
Harper, really excited for "Harper Day" in the Giraffe room. (She really was excited, but she refused to pose for an "excited picture")
Movie night attire!
Working on her "sound"
Health code violations
Ms. Grumps!

Boo at the Zoo: Aunt Slater Edition
It was time for our now-traditional trip to the Bronx Zoo's BOO AT THE ZOO festivities. But this year we brought a special guest, Aunt Slater!
So much Halloween finery around the Zoo.
"Super Skeleton" and "Cupcake Girl" ZOOOOOMED while they waited for Aunt Slater's train to arrive.
Luke styled his hair into a curl like Superman's.
One of our first activities was to take Aunt Slater to see the magician - and Luke got picked to go on stage!
He helped make coins disappear...
...and also clown noses.
Does he look excited or what? I think he enjoyed it.
"I AM A ZOMBIE!"
We showed Aunt Slater the Bug Carousel (Harper's favorite).
It was properly spooked up for Halloween.
Look at his cape!
Luke, looking scared of the bats.
Harper going for flat-out scary.
Pitstop at a favorite photo op!
"Ok, fine, I'm a zebra swallowtail. Blah blah blah, look at me, I'm a butterfly."
That's better!
Check out the awesome hair clips Aunt Slater commissioned for Harper! A cupcake and a HULK!
Instead of a haunted hayride like last year, 2013 came with a safari ride with animatronic dinosaurs! Luke: loved it. Harper: Alllllmost tolerated it. (now, however, she'll tell you it was her favorite)
Then we, in Harper's words, "got to dig for *real fossils*!"
Everyone should have an Aunt Slater. For real.
Then there was posing with, near, and on seasonal decor. Galore.
More "looking scared."
Boo at the Zoo came with a S'more Station this year!
SO! EXCITED!
YUM.
APPROVED!
See you next year, Boo at the Zoo!
