Welcome to the ool (there's no P in it, let's keep it that way)

A quick post that has been sitting around for weeks (as you can tell) summing up our trips to the pool this summer.

One one trip, Luke wore his "read to me" romper (thanks Grandma Casey) and insisted on carrying a bottle of soap, and touching everything on the way

He had lots of fun in the pool, especially after we realized that a ball would increase the fun, and spent some time "swimming" in addition to being held.

However, next to swimming in the pool, he had fun getting dry and snuggling with Mom while eating snacks and watching the other kids in the pool.

I don't swim in your toliet, please don't pee in my pool

Luke's second trip to the pool in June was more successful than the first. Less sun, a bigger hat, and more room in the wading pool made him much happier.

First of course, he needed to put on his Mexican wrestling mask suit:

Then with his lobster hat and surf shirt he was all set to enjoy the water

this time he lasted much longer in the water with much less fussing. Enjoyment might be too strong of a word but it was good practice

Soon enough, pool time was over, and Luke enjoyed a bit of deck time in his romper and hat with Mom.

The hairline in these photos is a tip-off that this is a catch-up post.

Hopefully Luke will be ready for swim lessons with Dad soon.
